City of Wayne Youth Services works with youth ages 11-17 (and their families) who are experiencing difficulties such as incorrigibility at home or school, police or court involvement, and drug/alcohol use. The Mentoring Program seeks to pair caring adults with youth who are both in our program or who have completed our program. A careful screening process allows us to make the best possible match between mentor and mentee. Mentoring activities are individualized and could include hanging out, modeling good behavior, talking and tutoring. The program looks for a six-month commitment from volunteers.
