The 4-H Youth Mentoring Program is a mentoring program that aims to help young people develop positive relationships, learn skills and develop competencies through support and socialization events and activities. The program also aims to reduce the frequency and severity of youth entering the juvenile court system by matching at-risk youth wages 5 to 19 with a positive adult role model. All youth are in the program voluntarily and are referred by various community agencies, organizations and juvenile court staff. The 4-H Youth Mentor Program is an innovative 4-H program that is coordinated by the St. Clair County MSU Extension and Supported by the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners and the St. Clair County Family/Juvenile Court.
