I.M.P.A.C.T. is a private, not-for-profit organization that was started in 1978.
The Agency provides specialized residential care, day program activities, and community-based support services to individuals who experience complex medical, psychological, developmental, and behavioral disabilities. The Agency serves the needs of people throughout the St. Clair County region.
The Agency currently operates eight 6-bed residential facilities. All placements are authorized by St. Clair County Community Mental Health.
Mental Health Services are provided to assist an individual with quality of life improvements, personal growth, coping skills and overall daily functioning. These services include: Individual, Marital / Family, Children / Adolescents, Play Therapy and Psychiatric Services.
Substance Abuse Services:
Substance Abuse Services are offered to improve the quality of life through abstinence and prevention of relapse for individuals and families. These services include: Evaluation, Outpatient Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Psychiatric Services and Intensive Group.
Referral Services:
The Center for Human Resources provides information and referral services for the community. This program is designed to advocate for individuals in need of information, referral or assistance. This service may include referrals to agencies that provide help with housing, utilities, food, medical service and counseling. Through this service, CHR also serves the Neighborhood Ecumenical Team (NET) as their frontline consumer contact point and provide fiscal management for NET funds.
