Michigan DHS to hire 500+ graduates

Last Update: March 9th, 2011

I am pleased to announce a pilot project in partnership with Michigan colleges and universities to hire more than 500 highly qualified graduates to work in children*s protective, foster care, adoption, juvenile and home licensing services.

This move is an important step that helps our department fulfill its commitment to protect Michigan*s most vulnerable children.

To that end, we will hold three-day recruitment and interview events so we can reach a diverse pool of applicants.

The next events will be held March 8-10 at Marygrove College in Detroit

I encourage you to share this information with others as these are public events and applicants from all Michigan colleges and universities are encouraged to attend.

You can find more details about the events, including schedules, pre-registration information and screening questions, at  www.michigan.gov/dhsjobs.

Thank you for your continued commitment to meeting the huge challenges we face. I appreciate your dedication and ingenuity.

Sincerely,

Maura D. Corrigan
Director
