Adoptive, Foster, Kinship Families Training 2012

The Michigan State University School of Social Work offers free training that is funded by the Michigan Department of Human Services for adoptive, foster, and kinship parents.  The training is designed for those who have adopted or are thinking of doing so.  Three important areas will be covered:

- Helping families cope wtih the stress of transitioning children from foster to adoptive care
- Understanding the unique needs of children who have been traumatized
- Helpful strategies for finding and using post adoption resources
