Contracts with private insurance companies to provide comprehensive health insurance coverage for uninsured children who do not qualify for Medicaid. Insurance covers: immunizations; emergency care; primary and specialized care; diagnostic services; inpatient and outpatient hospital care; prescriptions; dental care; vision and hearing screening; mental health services; substance abuse treatment; and prenatal care and delivery.
Eligibility:
Children under age 19 from low-to moderate-income families in Michigan who do not have other health insurance. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or legal aliens.

$5 monthly premium per family regardless of the number of children in the family. There are no co-payment fees and no deductibles for services.
