Community Assessment Referral & Education (CARE)

CARE is serious about our role in the community – to strengthen, empower and support individuals and families through the provision of a high quality comprehensive network of services for those concerned about mental health, alcohol, tobacco and other drug dependencies. CARE provides work/life solutions for businesses, municipalities and school districts.


All Medicaid recipients who currently reside in Macomb County are eligible for the Medicaid Substance Abuse Services Plan managed by Macomb County Community Mental Health / Office of Substance Abuse (MCOSA). Services covered or permitted under the plan are outpatient, intensive outpatient, Methadone and residential treatment services. CARE provides access to Medicaid-covered substance abuse services.
