Pathway Homeless Shelter

Shelter and support services to individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Pathway provides shelter to single men, couples, single men with children, and intact families with children.


Safe Horizons offers shelter and support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. The services and support programs are delivered to the community in a variety of formats ranging from shelter and housing to support groups and legal assistance. Pathway Shelter is one of two shelters operated in St. Clair County by Safe Horizons.


Pathway Shelter is a 28-bed facility that provides services to men who are homeless or survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, as well as homeless couples and families. Professional staff and trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day to assist homeless individuals and their families. Services offered at Pathway Shelter include:


Emergency Shelter
Referral for crisis, individual and group counseling
Case management coordination, including referrals for housing, employment, financial services, education, legal services, child care and health care
Referrals to the Family Independence Agency (FIA)
Referrals for disability benefits
Referrals for resume services
Clothing assistance
Bus transportation
Nutritional meals
