Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative

If you're a current or former foster youth, aged 14 - 23, and if you were in foster care at some point after your 14th birthday, you may be eligible for the Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative. Unfortunately MYOI isn't in all Michigan counties yet, so check the list of current sites to see if it's available where you live.

MYOI is a major effort to improve outcomes for foster youth as they age out of care. It's focused on:

    * Education.
    * Employment.
    * Housing.
    * Physical and mental health.
    * Transportation.
    * Social and community engagement.
