ChildHelp Michigan

Having successfully offered foster care services in Michigan for several years, the addition of an adoption program is a natural progression in a continuum of services aimed at providing permanency for all children in our care.   Childhelp adoption services include pre- and post-adoption orientations, trainings, and other educational activities; counseling for all participants in the adoption triad (birth parent, child, and adoptive parent); adoptive family assessments and home evaluations; pre-and post-placement supervision; support groups for children and adoptive and birth families; assistance in accessing records (in accordance with legal guidelines); ongoing support in maintaining the adoptive placement once it is finalized; community education; and much more.

Childhelp will directly facilitate the adoptions of children and youth in the foster care system, particularly focusing on counties in Southeastern Michigan.  However, the agency will also provide supportive services for other types of adoptions state-wide, often working in collaboration with our community partners.  It is our hope that you will continue to look upon Childhelp as a trusted partner in our efforts to provide safe, loving, and nurturing forever homes to children in care.

Based in Southfield, Childhelp Michigan is a regional branch of Childhelp created to meet the growing demand for quality services for abused, neglected and at-risk youth in Southeast Michigan.
